Island getaways are the absolute best. But there’s one island I’m willing to bet isn’t on your radar.

Guam.

A U.S. territory, this forgotten island is an incredible place to visit for your next tropical adventure. And you won’t even need a passport to do it! Why should you hit Guam?

Easy. First of all, it’s crazy beautiful. The sunsets are ridiculous.

Second of all, no one knows about it. Probably the best-kept vacation secret in the U.S., you won’t be fighting for beach space with a horde of tourists. They’ll all be in Puerto Rico or Hawaii or some other mainstream American island everyone’s heard about.

Also—fun fact—the local culture in Guam has been compared to that of Texas. That’s right. Apparently, Guam locals are obsessed with high school football and have a frontier mentality, meaning you’ll feel right at home.

So what are you waiting for? Go to Guam! I’m already jealous of you.
