Fans of Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares – the British reality series that features chef Gordon Ramsay screaming at various restaurant owners until they're whipped into shape and serving the perfect salad or pasta or steak – may be interested in a new show airing on the Travel Channel April 9.

Hotel Impossible will feature Anthony Melchiorri who will scout out troubled hotels and fix their greatest issues.

According to a Hotel Chatter article, “Melchiorri also apparently has a ‘tough-love style’ that is hard to swallow,” which will surely make for interesting interactions with him and all members of hotel staff from the housekeepers to the owners.

Similar to Kitchen Nightmares, each half hour episode will feature hotels in danger of closing if the owners fail to comply with Melchiorri’s suggestions or renovations.

The first episode will take place in Montauk, New York at Gurney’s Inn. Reportedly, it is a resort “in need of some serious modernization,” and run by a family who doesn’t read the online reviews for their own hotel.

The show will feature other hotels in popular locations in Florida, New York and California, amongst other destinations across the country.
