Top Five Reasons to Choose Le Méridien Piccadilly When You Visit London, IMG Cred: Chris Osburn

Le Meridien is Fully Stocked with Good Times!

Location Location Location

Piccadilly is one of the most well-known thoroughfares in the world. And Piccadilly Circus – that buzzing epicenter of this cosmopolitan capital – is a must-see for any first visitor to London. Le Meridien Piccadilly? It's just down the street from this famed circus and situated right off the Piccadilly. There's a London Underground station nearby too, which is so convenient to the hotel you'd think the station had been added exclusively for Le Méridien guests. That said, once inside the comfy and quiet Méridien, it's easy enough to forget the frenetic urban pace beyond its doors.

Gin and that other long standing English tradition

Also, once you're inside the hotel, you can kick back and relax in style with an homage to two of England's most recognizable traditions: the gin and tonic and the afternoon tea. Both are awesome … but how much more awesome could they be together? With Le Méridien’s very own Gin and Tonic Afternoon Tea, you get to treat yourself to a thirst quenching G&T while experiencing the old school sophistication of having an afternoon tea. Choose from a selection of six fruit or herb-infused gins which are then combined with a tonic reduction made at the hotel. Of course, dainty finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, more morsels and yes actual tea are included.

Not up for the pomp? Just make your way to one of the hotel's bars for a more expedient G&T experience. Being decisive could prove tough though. Le Méridien Piccadilly stocks over 30 different gins.

Cool keycards unlock more than just the door to your room

All Le Méridien hotels have partnered with local cultural centers to provide guests with access to contemporary art for free. The same keycard given to you when you check in can also be used to gain complementary entry to the partner institution. In London, that partner is Tate. Le Méridien guests get to check out a current exhibition at Tate Modern or Tate Britain for free during their stay.

On top of that, each room keycard is itself a work of art, created by one the hotel group's LM100 members. Artists such as Hisham Bharoocha, Sam Samore and Yan Lei have each created a unique keycard collection that makes nice mementos from your trip.

Even more art

This year, Le Méridien is celebrating five years as the principle partner of the Outset Contemporary Art Fund. As part of this partnership, the hotel group supports OFT (the Outset/Frieze Art Fair Fund to Benefit the Tate Collection) – a unique partnership between, Frieze Art Fair and Tate, which enables Tate to buy work by emerging artists at Frieze. You can be certain such a tight connection with the art world spills over as killer installations in the lobby of the hotel, neato and bespoke ephemera in your room and an overall detail driven aesthetic that makes a stay here as attractive as it is comfortable.

All that other stuff

Oh yeah, you can spend the night here too! Free newspapers, 32” wide screen TVs, massive beds, roomy bathrooms with drench showers and all the other creature comforts and mod cons you'd expect from a five-star hotel are on at this luxurious Regency-era hotel in the heart of London.

So you've got your hotel in London, now you just  need a flight to London!
