Titanic in Belfast

100 years after Titanic left Belfast, Northern Ireland on its fateful first and final voyage, a new Titanic Belfast - the world's largest Titanic visitor attraction – has opened to the public.

Visitors to Titanic Belfast re-live the story of this famously ill-fated ship, from her birth in Belfast to the fateful maiden voyage and her eventual discovery on the seabed. The newly constructed iconic six storey building houses nine interpretive galleries along with space for temporary exhibits, a 1000-seater banqueting suite, education and community facilities, catering and retail space and a basement car park.

Titanic Belfast's nine interpretative and interactive galleries explore the sights, sounds, smells and stories of Titanic, as well as the city and people which made her. Visitors journey - by foot and by rides - through:

Immerse yourself in the amazing story of Belfast in the 1900s, take a spin in the Shipyard Ride, experience life on board and learn about Titanic’s maiden voyage, her tragic sinking, the many stories of human endeavor, and the technology and science that finally found her, and helped to solve some of the many mysteries surrounding that fateful night in 1912.

An unmissable visit in any tour of Northern Ireland, the newly constructed iconic six storey building is located in the heart of Belfast on the slipways where the actual Titanic and a number of other famous ships, such as the RMS Olympic and the HMHS Britannic, were built and launched. This area is today known as Titanic Quarter and is the site of Europe's largest urban regeneration scheme and home to plenty of other nautical and Titanic related attractions.
