Family Travel: The Arizona Grand Resort is a family oasis in the Arizona Desert, IMG Cred: Katie Bodell

It's a Family Affair!

Beautifully set upon a backdrop of jutting mountains, desert sun and magnificent skies of Phoenix, AZ, the Arizona Grand Resort offers world-class luxury, home-away-from home perks and amenities, and an incredibly fun family-friendly water park.

All families staying at the resort enjoy the comfort and space of a partitioned off suite, in either a one or two bedroom variety.  The two bedrooms offer full sized kitchens and living rooms, giving large families or groups a perfect place to relax and enjoy time together.

The resort offers quite a few dining options from relaxed luxury on the patio at the Lobby Grill, southwestern favorites at Aunt Chilada’s Tempe Mexican food, or an interactive (complete with slide entrance!) steakhouse, Rustler’s Rooste, just perfect for the kids.  In addition to the slide entrance, this restaurant boasts family friendly features like photo opportunities, live music, dancing and a unique gift shop; real cows even dot the landscape outdoors!  All kids get cute cow horn hats, and cotton candy is served as an after dinner desert.  A visit around sunset offers incredible views of the valley below.

In addition to fantastic dining, luxury suites and impeccable landscaping, the Arizona Grand Resort boasts the on-site Oasis Waterpark, which is included with your resort fee.  The waterpark features three giant slides for the bigger kids, a kiddie area, a 10,000 sq. ft. wave pool and a 950 feet lazy river (that actually moves a bit briskly and offers some bubble & waterfall surprises!) Fully trained lifeguards are on site daily and summer entertainment options abound including “dive-in” movies, character meet and greets, and live dance parties.

Golfing families can enjoy an 18-hole golf course.   Small children just learning to play can take advantage of the resort’s late evening tee times saved just for families.  Rental clubs are available for kids of most sizes.

In addition to these amazing activities, the resort has six traditional swimming pools, an on-site Kid’s Club for kids 5-12, an arcade for those 13 and up, and a massive athletic club and full service spa. Hike or bike up the Holbert Trail, which starts at the southern end of the property.  This family-friendly hike is perfect for the younger set.  Rock petroglyphs and small animals are routinely spotted.
