A priceless art collection?

When you see your unshaven roommate playing Call of Duty at 3 a.m., scarfing down Mountain Dew and cold pizza between kills, “art” is probably the last thing on your mind. However, an unusual exhibit set to open at the Smithsonian American Art Museum just might change your tune.

Beginning March 16, the museum in Washington D.C. will showcase the art behind some of the best video games of all time, focusing on exceptional graphics, innovative technology, and world-class storytelling.

"The Art of Video Games" will feature 80 games, ranging from ancient Atari masterpieces to best-selling contemporary titles. The list was created with help from the public through an online vote last year.

According to a report from ABC News, after its stint at the Smithsonian ends on September 30, the exhibit will hit the road, making stops in Boca Raton, Florida; Seattle, Washington; Yonkers, New York; Flint, Michigan; and Memphis, Tennessee.
