New York Expects Huge Tourism Boost


New York’s tourism is expecting a huge upswing thanks to the recently approved legislation allowing same-sex marriage.


Mayor Michael Bloomberg is said to launch a “NYC I Do” campaign, promoting the Big Apple as a gay-wedding destination.


Hotels such as Le Parker Meridien all ready have packages available for gays looking to get married in the Big Apple.


The USA Today report said New York should expect to take in over $400 million during the next three years thanks to the new law. Over 21 thousand couples are expected to tie the knot in the city while 45,000 should come to help celebrate those weddings.
