New York City Ballet's Production of "The Nutcracker" Coming to a Theater Near You

The Nutcracker hits the silver screen December 12! 

 

Hoping to catch the New York City Ballet's iconic production of "The Nutcracker" this holiday season? You still can!

 

Cheap flights to New York City are getting harder to find as we quickly approach Christmas, but ballet fans have another option: head to the movies!

 

On Tuesday, December 13 a live production of the classic ballet will be beamed in stunning HD to movie theaters across all 50 states in the US. The ballet will hit 560 theaters in all.

 

Though much cheaper than an actual trip to the Lincoln Center, tickets for the special event will cost a little more than your typical trip to the movies. You can expect to pay between $15 and $20, according to a report in the Chicago Sun Times.
