"Bruce Lee Statue on the Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong," Flickr photo credit: Ian Muttoo
A Bruce Lee memorial statue in Hong Kong

We told you last month about the opening of an Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum in Austria. Now another action star may be getting a museum of his own here in the States.

According to several reports this week, Seattle is considering the construction of a museum dedicated to martial arts master and Hollywood legend Bruce Lee. The proposed Bruce Lee Action Museum would contain some of Lee’s personal artifacts and writings as well as objects of historical significance from his days working in Hollywood and Hong Kong.

Why the Seattle connection? Bruce Lee lived in the Emerald City in the 1950s and 60s and was buried there following his death in 1973. Seattle’s City Council is currently waiting on a report from the Lee Family Foundation before making any concrete decisions.
