Urban zip-lines are becoming popular. And what is my basis for stating that? Al Roker zip-lined, and he loved it.

While millions across the country prepared for last weekend’s Super Bowl, the Today Show weather anchor zip-lined over Lucas Oil Stadium, the site of the big game. He commented, “Indy never looked better.”

With attractions like the Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas, zip-lines are becoming more accessible and popular with travelers in a number of urban locations.

The zip-line in Indianapolis lasted only 10 days during the Super Bowl festivities, but the fact that it proved to be the most popular attraction has lead the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to consider bringing it back for the races in May.
